She based Sentarse Means Sit on her international experiences; but, her inspiration was her 3 year old daughter, Darias. In writing Sentarse Means Sit, Shachella wanted to emphasize for her daughter and other children two things: self appreciation and acceptance. Although written for children, the book''s concepts translate easily into a corporate environment and everyday life situations.
