Most times on TV or in movies, Correctional Officers are portrayed as "being on the take" or "untrustworthy goons" or inhumanely cruel; they are almost always "the bad guys," nearly as evil as the criminals they incarcerate.
First-time Author Yvonne Goyette has written a very unique book because she spent over 25 years as a Correctional Officer, often in maximum-security prisons.
