Michall Larsen er født i 1961 og er en international kendt forfatter. De fleste kender ham som både journalist, debattør, foredragsholder, manuskriptforfatter og forfatter. Han er særlig kendt for sine internationalt solgte thrillere ‘Uden sikker viden’ og 'Slangen i Sydney’. Sidstnævnte er alene i Danmark solgt i flere end 100.000 eksemplarer. Selvom hans store succes i thrillergenren, valgte Michael Larsen alligevel at tage en pause fra dette og gå nye veje. Efter otte års pause vendte han tilbage i storform med bogen ‘Mordet på Øen’, som fik tildelt en førsteplads på bestsellerlisten. Efterfølgeren på den succesrig udgivelse blev ‘Dødens Kode’, hvor TV- og filmrettighederne til bogen allerede før udgivelsen blev solgt til produktionsselskabet SF-Film. I Michael Larsens pause fra spænding og krimi udgav han det store tobindsværk ‘Den Store Tid’ om Danmark i den sidste del af 1800-tallet.
