Beauty has faded as a monstrous parasite has made itself known. These creatures infest and mutilate still living, feeling humans to use as hosts before causing death and disaster everywhere they can. Unfortunately, the monsters are not the only problem.
Alexandria, a young girl leading an unenthusiastic life, finds herself unwillingly forced into this conflict with the world around her.
