The Dead Side - W R Blocher - Bog

Sam is a former Marine who wakes up sitting on a gravestone in a cemetery with no memory of his past of knowledge of what is happening to him. He is conscripted into a brutal military organization as its column marches by. He is thrust into a world he doesn't understand among people who are as confused as he is. They are all kept in line by Sergeants who brutally beat anyone who steps out of line in the most minor way. Sam is a member of a squad of five men and three women who learn to struggle together to survive.
