The Gate Contained is a unique collaboration between a poet and a photographer. Eleven photographs paired with eleven sonnets create an immersive experience that is more than the sum of the individual components. About the photographerMichael Antman is a former senior marketing executive, an urban photographer, a theatre and book critic, and the author of the novels Everything Solid Has a Shadow and Cherry Whip and the memoir Searching for the Seagull Motel. He is the co-author with Christopher Guerin of the poetry and photography collaboration The Gate Contained. He is a two-time finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Nona Balakian Award for Excellence in Reviewing.
