Bag om The Search for the Gate

The Search for the Gate is a selection of passages from Records of The Teaching, a remarkable and unique body of channelling from Spirit that took place between 1932 and 1960, knowledge of which has hitherto been largely confined to a small number of New Zealand families. This is despite a full version of the Records having been available for 25 years as a free download from the net, which is where the editor (who is British and has never been to New Zealand) came across them through a curious series of events in 2004. The seer who channelled the information was a New Zealander called Kathleen Long, supported in her work by a succession of Circles known as 'The Circle of Hands'.This selection covers nearly a quarter of the full text of the Records and is in the unaltered words, as spoken by the spirits concerned, and their human communicants. They have been marshalled under nineteen headings by members of the original Circles. Though entirely compatible with the core of Christian teachings, they throw new light on them, showing (not least through actual prophecy) how relevant they are to our time - more so even than they were at the time they were transmitted. They depart in various respects from conventional Church teachings on such subjects as reincarnation, evolution, the authority of other religious teachings than Christianity, and the nature and complexity of the afterlife. The Gate referred to is that between this world and the other, the Spirit-, or 'Thought World' as Kathleen Long eventually came to call it. In our time The Teaching firmly proclaims that this Gate will not just be searched for, but found, and even opened, with an enlargement of human capacity for communication with that other world, associated with prediction of the nearness of that event known to Christians as the Second Coming. This is convincingly recast by The Teaching as The Third Revelation/Reflection, a manifestation as much of the Spirit as of Christ Himself.
