Phyllis Peterson, a Life Skills Educator and an international speaker, has traveled widely in Asia, Africa, and the Pacific. She teaches workshops on "Protective Behaviors for Children," "Boundaries for Youth and Adults", the "Importance of the Development of a Feeling Language in Children and Adults," "How to get rid of Stultifying Roles for Men and Women," "Anger Alternatives," and "Conscience Development in Children." Her programs have been adopted by the governments of Botswana and Swaziland in Africa and she has trained the trainers so that the workshops can be facilitated in her absence. This book, "The Skylark Life Skills manual for Women and Girls," is a combination of all of her workshops and is a valuable tool for teachers, principals, life skills educators, librarians, psychologists, and social workers. The book also informs of not only human rights of men and women, but the rights of boys and girls who want to be educated and live in safety.
