The Tree that Walks - Beth Duncan - Bog

- Poems of Self Integration

Bag om The Tree that Walks

The Tree that Walks: Poems of Self-Integration is a collection of fifty-four poems separated into two sections that show the author's recent spiritual journey. Poet Beth Duncan has written for many years, but until now has never had the confidence to publish her poetry. After doing shadow work through Debbie Ford's breakthrough process, she was able to realize her own wholeness and choose the path of courage-and life. The poems in the first section have a sense of disembodiment, of searching for answers and wholeness. But even though the poems in this section address sad topics like death and love lost, there is still a thread of hope woven throughout them. The shift is made crystal clear in section two with its very first poem, "A New Day of Joy," whose first line rings out, "Pain is a gift given to us to heal." From here to the end of the book, the poet's voice shows a marked difference. Now strength, steadiness, and a deep sense of peace undergird the words. With The Tree that Walks, Duncan shares her unfolding journey of personal integration, and her honest and poignant words offer an inspiring light to others seeking their own wholeness.
