Hello, my name is Whitney Burnsmith, and I suffer from anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. In the past, I have been prescribed numerous medications to treat these issues but some of the medications made me nauseous, tired, or feel "heavy". When this happened, I usually didn't finish the medication, which didn't help me with my plight of managing my diagnoses. I have also been seen by numerous psychiatrists. I have found that psychiatrists are helpful except when I am feeling like my "normal self". Then, I don't feel the need to continue sessions. This is not healthy or helpful for me and I have taken steps to change that. Enter Dr. Cassius, my current psychiatrist. She is wonderful and has suggested that I start journaling as a means of managing my moods and overall mental health. I started from the beginning and am finding that I have suppressed memories that I hadn't realized were affecting me. Some of my memories are good and some are not but I am confronting them. These are my memories and my truths.
