Urticaria, also referred to as hives, is a dermatological condition distinguished by the abrupt development of elevated, crimson, and pruritic lesions or wheals on the body's surface.
Variable in size and shape, these welts frequently resolve themselves within a brief time frame, usually within twenty-four hours. An allergic reaction to specific foods, medications, insect assaults, or other substances is the most common cause of urticaria.
