The overall purpose of the book is to provide indisputable evidence that we can know God as he makes Himself known to us and be divinely guided in this present world. Human interest incidents reveal God's tender concern for the home and its problems. My utmost desire is to encourage others to learn God's ways, and experience him in a very personal way. God can and wants to be a real part of everyone's life. As I share my journey through life, you may experience a spiritual journey yourself. I trust the lessons of my life are worth passing on to others. I seek answers to questions many of us ask ourselves. Does God want us to know Him in a real personal way? How do we find Him amidst a life of ups and downs? Is there Someone who cares enough to intervene in our every-day stuff? (Will He when we ask? Does God really want to be an intricate part of our life? How do we let Him) "Now I See" gives an eyewitness account of devastating experience that it seemed only God would bring me through. I try to make it clear that to know God is the greatest privilege and need in life. As you read this book, the intent is that you will also be able to say, "Now I See . . . God has a purpose for everything I encounter in life"Lynnie Lang is a caring individual who is willing to go above and beyond for others. and to assist people who have troubled souls and require encouragement. I set aside time each day for prayer, bible reading, and quiet time with GOD.

It all began when I finally desired quiet time in God's presence. He, being my Lord and Savior, gave me a need to hear encouragement and guidance from Him. Knowing I belong to my God, Jesus died for my sins and I am filled with His Spirit, gave me peace and confidence, but I felt there was more I needed. I longed to hear from Him. Was this really possible? How would I know it was Him? I would enter my prayer time as usual, with quiet meditation, praise and worship from my heart and lips. I'd then pick up my prayer journal for personal prayers, petitions and intercession for others. In my spirit I would, at times, receive words of affirmation during my prayer time, then when finished, be guided to pick up my pen and begin to write. I not only realized that God was giving me these words to write and encourage me with, but each one was always one page long. After almost a year, I began to transfer them to my computer. As I did, I was also given a title and a Scripture to go with each one. All I knew was this ability was definitely God given to me for His purpose. Soon I was realizing it wasn't all for me, I was prompted to share them, on occasion with others. This began a list of folks who wanted to receive them on a regular basis. The list continued to grow; and God continued to encourage me through others to write more, as He led me. What I thought was God speaking to me only, in reality, He is able to speak to others through a devotional simple folk like me put down on paper. I pray they will bless and encourage all who read them, as they have been for me. May this book always be a reminder to us that God is speaking, are you listening?Lynnie Lang is a lady from a small town with a big heart. She enjoys writing and inspiring others to fulfill their full potential in Christ. Born and raised in Rhode Island, her life's journey has taken her far beyond this small New England state. She is the mother of two adult children, the grandmother of six, the great grandmother of five, and has fostered many children over the years. Lynnie founded and served as the first president of the Warwick, Rhode Island Chapter of the Women's Aglow Fellowship, an international Christian women's organization. She spent most of her adult life as a nurse and also directed Living Waters Ministry, a home for women in addiction recovery in Orlando, Florida. She now lives in Saint Cloud, Florida, with her adoring service dog, Cody.

'Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.' (Santayana, 1905)As our broken world emerges from the turmoil and oppression of a diabolical period in history, will The Church of Jesus Christ wake up, rise up and stand together to push back the darkness? The marginalisation and persecution of the Pilgrim Fathers in the 1600s has been allowed to happen again in our lifetime. They too lost many of their rights and liberties but, unlike our experience, they were completely free and able to go searching for a new life on distant shores. This book is a modern-day pilgrimage of awakening, revelation and searching for the truth. Losing Liberty, Finding Freedom is an encouraging and hope-filled reminder of what it means to be wholly set apart for God and living a life of hope, surrender and adventure. It will stir you, challenge you and prepare you for the days to come. Laura Brett BSc (Hons) PGCert is an evangelist, a qualified midwife, international speaker, mentor and activist. She is positioned at the frontline of Christian ministry, whether this be preaching the Gospel, praying for healing and deliverance or publicly speaking out for truth and freedom. What do you do when God asks you for everything you've got? That's what happened to Abraham, one of the most famous people in the Bible. Bible teacher, missionary and radio broadcaster Brian Johnston explores how it all came about and what was Abraham's response. Abraham was known for his great example of faith in Hebrews 11 and for being a "Friend of God", but his nomadic life was far from plain sailing, and so it provides lots to learn for our own jpurney of obedience to God in discipleship today,.

Have you ever considered how God works in your life? Have you ever wondered why things have gone the way they have for you?In my life, I have experienced good times and tough times. I have lived in extreme poverty and with extraordinary wealth. I have seen some ugly parts of life and some beautiful parts too. I have lived through the horrors of war and the tragedies of death. I have suffered pain and loss, as well as healing and gain. I have experienced heartache and heartbreak, as well as joy and rejoicing that are beyond words. Some wonderful people have influenced me, and I have been able to influence others as well. I have started businesses and closed businesses. And the list could go on and on. The point is this: in spite of the difficulties, I consider myself to have lived a rich and full life!My desire in authoring this story is to share with my family--kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids--some of the events of my life that I believe have some relevance for them, particularly events about God's work in my life. Some of what I have to tell them now will be comforting or more precious to them later. The first section, "Grandpa Saw the Light," is about my conversion to Jesus Christ and the circumstances surrounding it. The second section, "Grandpa Shined the Light," is about my personal growth as a believer. And the third section, "Grandpa Shared the Light," is about my ministry and service for God.I also hope this book will be a source of encouragement to many, so they share their own story with others, particularly their loved ones. Everyone's life is a unique story, and it is meant to be shared with others. Some stories are more dramatic or sensational than others, but all are important.Your story is about God's work in your life and your response to Him. I hope this book is a source of blessing for you.

Through this book, you will learn about mistranslations in scripture, hidden truths about God's creation process, and read scriptural truths about what God said truly happened. You will see evidence from fossil finds that proves men and Giants walked with and hunted dinosaurs. You will also see scriptures showing that Lucifer ruled the Earth before his rebellion and long before Adam's creation. Plus the fact that Lucifer's world was utterly destroyed after his rebellion by the first flood, and I don't mean Noah's flood (Jeremiah 4:23-28). There is scriptural evidence that shows these truths very plainly, so you can read and see the truth for yourselves from God's Word. You will learn about and understand the time gap that exists between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. I will also demonstrate to the readers why Darwin's Theory of Evolution is and always has been impossible. My hope is that these truths will reopen the minds of true seekers who have been turned away by the false teachings of past generations.

In the late 19th century, an estimated 11 million Americans believed in something called Spiritualism. They believed in it so ardently that it came to be thought of as a religion, and it became the seventh most popular religion in the United States. It's fundamental tenet-virtually its only tenet-was that it was possible for the living to communicate with the dead. America's philosopher king William James believed in it. Thomas Edison believed. Mark Twain believed. Countless number of scholars and scientists-although always a minority-also believed. Or, at the least, they believed that the belief should be tested, not scoffed at; that it might deserve to be part of university curricula, not the raw material of derisive humor. The same was true across the Atlantic, where Spiritualism attracted Marie Curie, Queen Victoria, two British Prime Ministers, Pope Pius IX and Russia's Czar Alexander II, among numerous others. Hundreds of the smartest minds in the world-geniuses all-formed societies in New York and London to investigate the notion of conversation with the deceased. They conducted scores of experiments under the most rigid, secure and sometimes even punishing of conditions, and some of what they discovered startled them. As When the Dead Talked . . . and the Smartest Minds in the World Listened, attests, it is still startling today. "Readers fascinated by how scientists in the last half of the 19th century thought about psychic phenomena will appreciate Burns's exploration of this fascinating history." - Publishers Weekly "Eric Burns has a gift for exploring the nooks and crannies and shadows of history that seldom get illuminated. When the Dead Talked . . . and the Smartest Minds in the World Listened [is] a vastly informative and entertaining book that can't help but leave a reader wondering where reality leaves off the magic begins." - Neal Gabler, author of Winchell: Gossip, Power and the Culture of Celebrity (Time magazine best non-fiction book of the year)
