This book deals with behavioral responses of management of firms that make several decisions with respect to production, marketing, finance, organization of activities within divisions, and interrelations between divisions (including synergies between them and constraints placed on each other in the attainment of overall goals of the firm). The market conditions, that constitute the basis of such decisions, may be stable, random but predictable, or uncertain. It can be expected that objectives attained by the firm, as a result of decisions of management, may be different from the maximum which can be achieved. A generic conceptualization of such managerial discretion and operationally useful methods of measurement have been presented. It is possible to develop machine learning algorithms on this basis to minimize managerial discretion and assist managers in arriving at strategic decisions thereby leaving more resources to deal with uncertain events as they arise. The volume is a great resource not only for researchers, but also decision makers in corporates.
There are many flowers and nightingales in the garden of literature. This anthology is being published in order to support and develop young creative people in Uzbekistan. Examples of works are presented, including poetry, short stories, journalistic articles and biographies.Poetry can capture a person's heart like a magician. There are such poems that can fit the whole life of a person in 4 lines. Of course, this is done by a poet with a sharp pen. The stories in the collection are also alive and moving¿ If we talk about journalistic articles, artistic elements lead in all of them. The anthology is being published under the editorship of Nilufar Rukhillayeva, and we express our gratitude to Abdukarimova Durdona for skillfully translating creative works from Uzbek to English.
Buffalo husbandry in the Indian context is very intimately interwoven with the country¿s rural economy such that its prevalence as a source of food and additional income transcends all socio-economic boundaries of rural life. Skills in buffalo rearing, milk production and processing have been handed over from generation to generation. This is a blessed heritage of people of India which needs to be resurrected through applied innovations and cooperative human resource utilization. The major stakeholders who influence buffalo development in the state were buffalo farmers, scientists, SDAH field functionaries, input agencies, administrators, planners and non-government organizations. Scientists of ICAR institutes and State Veterinary University generated technologies which were passed on to State Department of Animal Husbandry field functionaries/veterinarians. Farmers were supposed to utilize these technologies and information. Administrators from ICAR institutes, State Veterinary University, State Department of Animal Husbandry, Non-government organizations, cooperatives and banks were responsible for framing policies.
This book applies Multicriteria Decision Making (MCDM) tools and techniques to problems in location analysis. It begins with a generic model for MCDM and subsequently develops specific versions of the technique for particular location problems. Throughout the book, MCDM is understood to encompass all tools and techniques that choose or rank existing or feasible solutions, including discrete multi-attribute decision making (MADM) problems, which typically include an attribute table that specifies the consequences of each decision with regard to the given criteria, as well as multi-objective linear problems (MOLPs), which incorporate all objectives in a single optimization problem. The book is organized as follows: the first four chapters introduce readers to the basic tools and techniques used in single-objective optimization, multicriteria decision making, location analysis, and other tools, such as statistical regression and geographical information systems. This is followed by ten chapters on model applications, each of which introduces readers to a specific location problem and applies one technique to solve it. The book is then wrapped up in a closing chapter that looks at the location process from a practitioner¿s point of view. This book is intended as a textbook for upper-undergraduate and master-level courses on location analysis. It will also benefit decision-makers who actually need to locate facilities.

This book is a rigorous but practical presentation of the techniques of uncertainty quantification, with applications in R and Python. This volume includes mathematical arguments at the level necessary to make the presentation rigorous and the assumptions clearly established, while maintaining a focus on practical applications of uncertainty quantification methods. Practical aspects of applied probability are also discussed, making the content accessible to students. The introduction of R and Python allows the reader to solve more complex problems involving a more significant number of variables. Users will be able to use examples laid out in the text to solve medium-sized problems. The list of topics covered in this volume includes linear and nonlinear programming, Lagrange multipliers (for sensitivity), multi-objective optimization, game theory, as well as linear algebraic equations, and probability and statistics. Blending theoretical rigor and practical applications, this volume will be of interest to professionals, researchers, graduate and undergraduate students interested in the use of uncertainty quantification techniques within the framework of operations research and mathematical programming, for applications in management and planning.
Transition metal phosphate (TMP) based materials are developing as advanced type electrode materials for hybrid supercapacitors (SCs) due to their unprecedented conductivity, and rich redox activity. Attracted by these fabulous physicochemical characteristics of metal phosphates, binder-free nickel copper (Ni-Cu) phosphate thin films with Ni-Cu composition variation were directly grown on stainless steel (SS) substrate via hydrothermal and SILAR methods. The composition of nickel and copper ratio varied to achieve better results by using synergy among them. Binder-free and adherent thin films of nickel copper phosphate were characterized by various physico-chemical methods. The best performing nickel copper phosphate electrodes were used for the fabrication of asymmetric (Ni-Cu Phosphate//rGO) aqueous (1 M KOH electrolyte) and solid state device (SSD) (PVA-KOH gel electrolyte). Moreover, SSD brightens a panel of 201 red light-emitting diodes (LEDs) illustrating its commercial practicability to next-generation hybrid energy storage devices.
Physics laboratory is a place where experiments of Physics are carried out. As we know physics is that branch of science where experimentation is an integral part of the core subject. Almost in every educational institution these physics laboratories are found. Nonetheless the sophistication of the educational laboratory varies from institute to institute. This book will help to understand the laboratory experiments as per revised syllabus of Anna university.
In The Paradise Lost, there is a well-known fuzziness between the authority of paganism and biblical tradition. The poem exhorts its audience to believe in the biblical narrative of Creation, but Milton's radical theodicy is unrestrained by conventional theological beliefs. Although Milton's ecclesiastical writings purport to express the ways of God to humanity, the great classic poets have ironically affected and "anxiously" inspired his presentation of them. The poem's representation of the biblical paradigm cannot be separated from the paganism it appears to be edging more and further away from.
Operating system (OS), Software that controls the operation of a computer, directs the input and output of data, keeps track of files, and controls the processing of computer programs. Its roles include managing the functioning of the computer hardware, running the applications programs, serving as an interface between the computer and the user, and allocating computer resources to various functions. When several jobs reside in the computer simultaneously and share resources (multitasking), the OS allocates fixed amounts of CPU time and memory in turn or allows one job to read data while another writes to a printer and still another performs computations.
Introduction: Tuberculosis is a major public health problem in developing countries. Its incidence is 12 to 26 times higher in dialysis patients than in the general population. Diagnosis is often difficult because of a non-specific symptomatology and the increased frequency of extra-pulmonary forms leading to a delay in diagnosis and especially in therapeutic management. The aim of our work was to highlight the clinical and therapeutic particularities of tuberculosis in chronic dialysis patients over a nine-year period. Forty-one patients were included in our study. The diagnosis was based on clinical, bacteriological and histological evidence. The evolution of the disease under treatment as well as the adverse effects of the anti-tuberculosis treatment were noted. The manifestations of tuberculosis in dialysis patients are not specific. These atypicalities delay the clinical diagnosis as well as the start of treatment, influencing the evolution and the prognosis.
Several medications derived from cannabis that has been refined and standardized are now accessible for medical use. However, the use of herbal cannabis for medical purposes is still quite debatable. The active element in cannabis, cannabidiol (CBD), and a couple of synthetic cannabis-like medications, dronabinol, and nabilone, are examples of products that have received FDA approval. While some European nations authorize the use of herbal cannabis for therapeutic purposes, it's forbidden in the UK. However, it does permit the prescription of nabiximols, a cannabis-based medication.

Suitability of standard adsorption isotherm models - Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin models are studied.
Success in endodontic treatment was originally based on the triad of debridement, sterilization, and obturation with all aspects equally important. Currently, successful root canal treatment is based on more broad principles. These include diagnosis and treatment planning, knowledge of anatomy and morphology, and the traditional concepts of debridement, sterilization, and obturation. The major goal of root canal filling is to prevent infection (reinfection) of the root canal via leakage of micro- organisms and their byproducts.
The repeated administration of ginger extract in rats at the maximum dose level of 1250 mg¿kg of the ethanolic extract and 1770 mg¿kg of the aquas extract did not induce observable toxic effects when compared to its corresponding control animals, while hemophilia anti the anticlotting effect were clearly visible at rising doses up to 20 gm/kg from the ethanolic extract and 25 gm/kg from the aqueous extract.
