C'est quelque chose de totalement différent, et pour le moment il est impossible de la définir exactement. Si nous appelons ces vibrations "couleurs" ce n'est que pour pouvoir les classer dans l'ordre du spectre. Mais les radiations proviennent autant de la coloration que de la substance et de la forme de l'objet. Prenons par exemple les métaux: les "couleurs" auxquelles ils répondent ne représentent nullement leur coloration, (p.e. le fer répond au rouge, le mercure au vert etc.).
