When you are suffering from an addiction, it can feel like your entire life is out of control and you have no power to overcome it. When you are addicted to something, it can also feel like you're completely alone and have nowhere to turn. These are all common mindsets for someone who has an addiction to any substance, whether that is food, cigarettes or other tobacco products, alcohol, prescription, or illegal drugs or even sex. But neither are you alone in your addiction nor do you have to be a slave to addiction for the rest of your life. That's exactly why this book exists. It is very easy to feel like you are the only one who is experiencing your particular addiction - or the level of addiction you're experiencing - but the truth is, millions of other people experience the same thing you are suffering from. That's because addiction affects more than 10% of the United States population. That means if you were to get on a typical city bus there are probably two or three people on that bus - besides you - that are suffering from some kind of addiction. Don't fool yourself either; having a food addiction or being unable to quit drinking alcohol is the same as an addiction to a drug or any other substance. Addiction is addiction, no matter what the substances.

Trauma shaped her personality from a very young age as she repeatedly faced and escaped her demons of shame and fear.As a teenager, Jenelle used alcohol to numb emotional pain and eventually turned to drugs to forget what no child should have experienced or seen. Addiction rapidly led her on a roller coaster of highs and lows as she desperately attempted to bury her past. With every turn, Jenelle takes you through countless near-death encounters while dangerous men simultaneously implant the seed of unworthiness and its self-destructive consequence. After becoming a mother, this courageous woman created a better life for herself and her children by tapping into her sheer will and determination to heal. She continues to fight the adversities of Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome as she walks the road of recovery with integrity, leadership, and compassion. There are information items here that are helpful. Anyone can read this book and benefit from it.For decades, the author has heard many speakers, and been to a conference or discussion table, that portrayed the bad consequences of pornography, or alcohol, or drugs, or other unhealthy addictions. Much of what the author learned is integrated, combined, merged, and incorporated into this book. The author felt and thought, after being taught and educated regarding unhealthy addictions, that perhaps he could present these truths into a book that would be a benefit to human beings, to people, to our fellow citizens, and to the inhabitants of our planet earth.Being not knowledgeable about something (i.e., you don't know about it) that is not healthy for you, can be harmful to you. The "not knowledgeable item", whatever it is, can be damaging, injurious, destructive, hurtful, wounding, destructive, wasting, and etceteras, to you. Pornography and other unhealthy addictions are not healthy for you. So, let's help each other learn. Let's help each other live healthy lives, better lives. May our God Almighty bless you.In writing this book, I had the goal to help other people. If this book helps people, even one person, to improve and live a healthy life, then the writing this book has all been worth it.
Do you think robbing a bank sounds like the best idea in the world? Have you ever kidnapped a child? Have you ever used drugs? Drugs like speed, downers, cocaine, heroin, LSD, STP, methamphetamine, belladonna, mescaline, or psilocybin? Have you ever taken these drugs hundreds of times? Have you ever stuck needles in your arms so many times that you were bruised all over because you missed the vein? Have you ever hallucinated for a few days and then find out that none of it really happened? Well, all that is included in this writing. Have you ever completely lost your sense of reality? Have you ever been to jail or in prison? It's all inside these covers. Events and happenings you have never heard of before are in this story. You can picture this whole writing in your mind as you read it. It's almost like reading a movie script. If you are concerned about your child or someone you know that seems to be influenced by new friends or possibly experimenting with drugs, this story has a very high potential to change that person's mind about their future life. The pain, suffering, and agony involved here are not something many people would want to get involved with. One can find out a lot about themselves from this story. It can be the window for one of the biggest decisions of a person's life. It can help to influence that decision so that it will be the right choice. With God in your heart, through it all, the journey of the life we live will be a good one. Yes, indeed, he can take your deepest pains, sorrows, and sufferings and make them your greatest gifts and blessings. He can lead you all the way while all along, you won't know it is happening, much less where you're going. Where you will go and where you will end up is really mostly your choice. No one but you will make that choice. There is only one thing in life that you have total control over and that is yourself. Let me repeat that: there is only one thing in life that you have total control over, and that one thing is yourself.
