As we've all learned, fear is an instinctive reaction that protects us from what our minds perceive as danger. The problem arises when the filters of the mind get entangled and confused between what is a potential danger and what is imaginary projection based on past experiences. However, we have also learned through Kundalini Yoga teachings that fear is not bad in itself. On the contrary, it's required as a navigation tool. The key is to train the mind to evaluate fears, acknowledge them, and let them go. Another effective way to better deal with fear is to nurture and cultivate love within us. When fear arises, we turn to our practice, quieting the mind and tuning in to our inner self. Because there is no fear when there is love. "22 Meditations to Identify and Release Your Fears" is a book that provides guidance to cultivate love and trust in the unknown while confronting and releasing fears. Through the practice of 22 meditations, you find support to observe your fears with a neutral mind and gradually dissolve them. The book's 22 meditations, based on lectures and meditations that Yogi Bhajan gave in the early 90s, offer a toolkit to deepen your inner awareness and develop your own caliber. Among many other things, these meditations will support you in conquering fear of tomorrow, removing deep worries and haunting thoughts, eliminating inner fears, confronting your dualities and self-destructiveness, cultivating inner peace, eliminating tension and stress, knowing through intuition and nurturing emotional resilience. In this first discourse we shall concern ourselves with the gaining of a general idea of the subject of Yoga, seeking its place in nature, its own character, its object in human evolution These lectures are intended to give an outline of Yoga, in order to prepare the student to take up, for practical purposes, the Yoga sutras of Patanjali, the chief treatise on Yoga. I have on hand, with my friend Bhagavan Das as collaborateur, a translation of these Sutras, with Vyasa's commentary, and a further commentary and elucidation written in the light of Theosophy. To prepare the student for the mastering of that more difficult task, these lectures were designed; hence the many references to Patanjali. They may, however, also serve to give to the ordinary lay reader some idea of the Science of sciences, and perhaps to allure a few towards its study.
What is, is.Yoga is about radically accepting things as they are. Whether we like it or not does not matter. It still is. Maybe we know each other and maybe we don't, but I bet that I could ask some questions about your hopes, fears, and desires, and we would answer them in the same way. Because we are the same consciousness. We are two waves in the same ocean, two toes on the same foot. So maybe we have never met, but I know you and you know me. The Truth is that there has only, ever, been us.

Yoga is a holistic approach to health and well-being that originated in ancient India. It involves a combination of physical postures (asanas), controlled breathing (pranayama), meditation, and ethical principles aimed at promoting physical strength and flexibility, reducing stress and anxiety, and fostering inner peace and self-awareness. Yoga can be practiced by people of all ages and fitness levels and is widely recognized for its numerous health benefits, including improved cardiovascular function, increased flexibility and balance, and reduced symptoms of depression and anxiety. It is important to find a qualified instructor and to listen to your body and modify the practice as needed to avoid injury.
As more people incorporate health and well-being into their daily lives, participating in athletic activities has become routine for individuals in contemporary society. Amongst a variety of workout activities and programs, the yoga participation rate continues to surge. Newly released market research study conducted by Yoga Alliance and published in Yoga Journal highlighted the growth of yoga participation and yoga practitioners in 2016 in the United States (Yoga Journal, 2016). The Yoga Journal is the most circulated yoga magazine in the U.S., founded in 1975. The result of the market study showed the number of yoga practitioners in the U.S. was more than 36 million, representing approximately 15% of Americans, an increase from 20.4 million in 2012 and 15.8 million in 2008 (Yoga Journal, 2016). Also, the study highlighted the fact that the yoga industry is a growing profitable market, as US$16.8 billion was spent on yoga products in one year (Yoga Journal, 2016). The future demand of yoga will consistently increase as more than 80 million Americans (34% of the population) answered that they are likely to practice yoga in the next 12 months (Yoga Journal, 2016). The yoga boom in North America started in the early 2000s, and now, yoga has become an inevitable cultural convention.
The Yoga Sutras are a collection of ancient directions about the mental and physical benefits of yoga. In their original form they are brief concepts, perfect for remembering in an oral tradition, but which require a teacher's explanation to fully understand. Deborah Adele uses a lifetime of learning and study to bring understanding to these essential yoga concepts. The Sutras explain that the Kleshas create versions of the truth for our minds that are the most appealing. These appealing truths are often false and they create entanglements that prevent us from being truly happy. As we grasp for more appealing truths we only create a cycle of needs and wants that confusingly never satisfy. The physical and mental practices of yoga are designed to break this cycle of dissatisfaction. This book provides the insight needed to understand the Kleshas and guides the reader to simple attainable practices that they can easily add to their yoga routine.

Who practices yoga in North America? Why are so many of them white able bodied women? This multi-sited feminist ethnography of contemporary yoga communities in North America represents my exploration of inequalities in the yoga world. Through conversations about how we experience our bodies, our abilities, social locations, and the ways in which we learn from each other as yoga students and teachers in spaces where we learn and teach yoga, this dissertation asks questions about inclusion and exclusion, about body normativity, and about authenticity. Yoga is an ideal field for feminist scholarship because it offers a lens through which to examine and potentially shift intersecting inequalities not only in the yoga studio, but in the health and fitness milieu as well. Before yoga became a topic of discussion for scholars, people practiced yoga as an exotic health and spiritual practice. By the early 2000s, yoga evolved into something for public consumption with its fancy Lululemon pants and wild yoga festivals in the mountains, to chocolate yoga, yoga for men, and rage yoga. In the twentieth century, yoga was a subculture activity, the sort that was commonly known for attracting crunchy granola hippy types and spiritual explorers who had reinvented yoga for their own purposes. Over the past two decades, yoga's explosion in popularity led me to ask how yoga's meaning as a spiritual practice shifted from subculture to mainstream health and fitness lifestyle.

Yoga is a part of Indian culture and religion. It is believed that yoga is originated in Bhärata and yoga symbols were found in Indus Valley civilization also (Sports Digest, 2009). Yoga is science of awareness for living with purity which involves all parts of yoga (Swami Chinmayananda, 1984). Yoga works as catalyst for general well-being (Satyananda, 2008). According to Iyengar, "Yoga is the true union of our will with the will of God". Most people know that the practice of yoga makes the body strong and flexible. Yoga is essentially an art of understanding all about the soul and to realize the SELF. Yogic practice energizes and heals the body, mind and intellect and is associated with psychological wellbeing (Nagendra, et al., 2010). Yoga is a mind and body practice that teaches becoming self-aware which witnesses the actions of college learners (Mahesh, et al., 2019). Yoga opens the door for mind to act as slave through self-awareness and easiness. It eliminates superficial sense of life and mystifies inherent and innate recognition (Tripathi, et al., 2018). Yoga removes mental knots to enhance the attention timing during graduate study. Awareness of inside stuff and outside makes realizing the distractions in college students which in turn increases the attention duration (Sugumar and Ponnuswamy, 2018).
