Como la mayoría de agricultores urbanos, aprendí en la práctica, mis principales maestros fueron mis familiares, amigos, profesores, que me compartieron sus saberes y creencias. Viví mis primeros quince años de vida en Piura, y mi relación extraordinaria con las plantas fue lo que marcó mi existencia.Las primeras páginas de este libro, las escribí en los arenales del distrito de Villa El Salvador, donde me volví a reencontrar con el maravilloso mundo de la agricultura, exactamente hace 19 años, comenzamos junto a mi esposa la tarea de hacer florecer y producir en nuestro propio hogar hortalizas, frutales y flores ya con algo de experiencia, y con un conjunto de organizaciones populares del distrito.
