When Murray grew ill and lost his voice for more than two years, he engaged in an intense study of healing in Scripture, seeking an answer to the question that many have asked: Should I pursue medical treatment, or exclusively seek healing from the Lord?

The Lord healed Murray's voice and, from that point on, healing the sick became a central part of his preaching and ministry.
