Bag om EFFECT ON MICRO NUTRIENST ON FRUIT QUALITY & GROWTH OF STRAWBERRY
Strawberry ( Fragaria x ananassa Duch.) is the most attractive, delicious, and nutritious fruit that contains a rich amount of antioxidants (Heinonen et al., 1998). Consumption of strawberries prevents inflammation disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and obesity. It is also helpful for maintaining blood sugar levels and the proper function of the human brain. Strawberry is one of the most sensitive fruit crops and nutrient management is a key factor in ensuring maximum yield with the highest quality. Furthermore, poor management of nutrient elements may lead to complete loss of the crop. Micronutrients play a vital role in plant growth and developmental processes. These elements are equally important as macronutrients. Since, these elements are actively involved in plant metabolism processes like respiration, photosynthesis, synthesis of chlorophylls and numerous enzymatic activities (Tripathi et al., 2015). A deficiency of micronutrients harms crop productivity, stability, and sustainability. Hence, the present investigation has been formulated to study the effect of micronutrients on growth, yield and quality of strawberry.
