The monograph for the first time scientifically substantiates the method of using boars of the Pietren breed in the selection process of breeding pigs of the Belarusian black-and-brown breed and the system of hybridization in the production of pork on an industrial basis through the creation of animals of new genotypes (1/2BCh1/2P and 3/4BCh1/4P), which have increased meatiness, good reproductive, fattening qualities and stress-resistant in the conditions of industrial technology. The use of boars of Pietren breed in combination with animals of Belarusian black-breed allows to offer production of pigs with increased meat (meat yield 58,52-61,68 %) and fattening qualities (feed consumption per unit of gain 2,9-3,6 feed units).
