Its privileged location, plus the wonderful natural landscapes, provide the country with vast tourism resources. At the same time, the oil industry is still in its early stages of development, and the country has relatively rich forest, biological and fishing resources. According to the "2021 World Investment Report" published by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), it points out that by the end of 2020, Sao Tome and Principe had attracted US$310 million in stock of foreign direct investment. Based on statistics from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, by the end of 2020, China's stock of direct investment in São Tomé and Príncipe was worth US$1.99 million. In 2020, the main export destinations of Sao Tome and Principe are the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal and Germany, with the main products being cocoa, palm oil, dried coconut, coffee. The main import origins of Sao Tome and Principe are Portugal, Angola, Togo and China, with the main products being food, fuel, industrial products and daily consumer goods.
