My Story - Miyoke Duncan - Bog

Bag om My Story

Miyoke Duncan served in the United States Army for four years where she took an interest in writing. Writing was her utopia when the military became stressful. She had to put writing on the back burner because of life's distractions. She moved to Atlanta Ga and became a "Georgia Peach" and started working for the United States Postal Service (USPS). She started volunteering with Hosea Feed the Hungry which became one of her priorities because it allowed her to help those less fortunate. She relocated back to her home town of Jacksonville, FL., where she got married, got a divorce and lived with her two dogs. In her spare time she started investing in real estate and interior decorating. She also began volunteering with the Clara White Mission. Miyoke was challenged with caring for her mother without fair warning. It was later discovered her mother had dementia which forced her into a journey of uncertainties. She retired from the USPS and moved back to Atlanta Ga, where she was able to find a quiet spot nestled under a shaded tree to tell her story. Miyoke has reconnected with her passion for writing.
