The evangelist shocked Edgar that night when he said, ""It is the easiest thing in the world to start a new church; the hardest thing is finding it a good pastor."" Edgar is now certain that the evangelist overstated the simplicity of starting a church but, in his advancing age, Edgar feared at times that he understated the difficulty in getting it a good pastor.
