Potentials and Diversity Indices of Underutilized Tree Species - Christopher Bashayi Ashe - Bog

In recent times, the issue of Underutilized Tree Species has become a subject for discussion in national, international and academic circles. Underutilized or abandoned tree species are all tree in the wild that are locally abundant, but globally rare and are undervalued, that is their current public and private value is below their potential. Furthermore, there is little or lack of research and information on these. Knowledge of these tree species and their uses are often unknown to younger generations due to poor transfer of these facts from the older generation hence the under utilization or total abandonment of the same. This book underscores the need to document these information to provide the needed data for future research and the harnessing of the inert potentials of these species.
