Quality terminology and application is a continually renewing area of management. An alignment with the changing social, business, and technological environment has become its premise. Until the age of mass production, personal commitment and responsibility were determinative. Skills were the guarantee for consumer satisfaction. During mass production, statistical methods offered new solutions in a cost-effective manner. Nevertheless, that is no longer enough. Along with the appreciation of the services, rebuilding the personal orientation was urgent. This monograph is based on the experience of a long education and research activity. It summarizes the author¿s concept of quality and shows how to understand and incorporate a quality approach in some areas.
