Similes in Holy Qur'an - Ahmed Suleiman - Bog

As the eloquence is one of the most important branches of linguistics in conveying the meanings, this book highlights the eloquent images in some verses in the Holy Qur'an. The eloquence is the fluent and appropriate manner of speaking that involves paying attention to language, alighting on animating details and keeping a tight rein on pace and structure. This study makes reference to the rhetoric science which linguistically implies clearness and appearance and terminologically it means knowing the rules according to which one meaning can be expressed in different ways. This book includes three chapters and the writer has dealt with the rhetoric of Surahs. The aim of this book is the clearness of the number of the manners and the purposes of using the similes in Surah of The Cow and Surah of The Family of Imran in Holy Qur¿an and the finding out the types of those similes which are included in the verses of the two chapters (Surahs).
