The Amethyst Spider is the first of the Casey series of three books which follow the adventures of Casey, a young adult whose dad is a detective and whose mom is trying to raise her as a proper New England socialite. CAsey has an adventurous spirit with an enthusiasm for detective work. Her involvement leads to becoming embroiled in environmental issues which will threaten her, her friend Lisa, and the comfort and safety of others.
