Bag om The Magic of Pan
During the 1950s, the Australian pagan worshipper and trance artist Rosaleen Norton (1917-1979) achieved widespread notoriety as an occult practitioner who performed mysterious occult rituals in her secret Kings Cross coven. Rosaleen Norton dedicated her magical practice to the Great God Pan and to a lesser extent Hecate, Lilith and Lucifer. She also had other occult and metaphysical interests that influenced her cosmology and world-view. Norton was intrigued by the visionary potential of Kundalini yoga and out-of-the-body trance- exploration as well as Aleister Crowley''s Thelemic sex magick, and combined all of these elements in her ritual activities. The Magic of Pan provides an authoritative overview of Rosaleen Norton''s life and metaphysical beliefs as well as offering detailed insights into her pursuit of sex-magic and visionary art. It also identifies her as a key practitioner of the Left Hand Path in the Western Esoteric Tradition.
