Originally, the purpose of the green economy was to open a political space for a deeper discussion to take place. But as such, and as argued in this book, such a discussion has to transcend a mere "economization" of nature and the search for quick technological answers. On the contrary, it must establish a new "political ecology" in an environmentally chaotic Venezuelan administration and participate broadly in the formulation of a new and deeper agenda for change.
