Bag om Klebsiella pneumoniae: Role in Camel Health & Antimicrobial Resistance
Camel (Camelus dromedarius) is an integral component of Indian fragile desert ecosystem, a proven icon of adaptation with its unique morphological & physiological characteristics. Despite its potential to thrive well on meager resources under extreme climatic conditions, sometime sudden temperature variations make this animal susceptible to various infections such as respiratory tract infections. Since, camel has declared state animal of Rajasthan state (India) it is very important to take care camel health and it¿s management. Klebsiella pneumoniae has not only important role in governing camel health but also have significant contribution in antimicrobial resistance. Thus it is become very important to percolate information of K. pneumoniae virulence and associated antimicrobial resistance when it obtained from camel.
