The Homer Simpson-esque stereotype has been a persistent trope in cartoons since programming aimed directly at children and adolescents began. Young viewers are exposed to the incapable and incompetent ""hapless father"" archetype on a regular basis, causing both boys and girls to expect the bare minimum of fathers while mothers hold the responsibility for all domestic and parenting work. Cartoons rely heavily on toxic stereotypes for ratings, when in fact, healthy representations of fathers are just as successful in maintaining viewership. Eleven essays, written by scholars from around the world, investigate the topic of fatherhood as it is represented in children's animated television shows. Main themes that emerge include absent and negligent fathers, single fathers, generational shifts within families, and raising the standard of fathering by creating secure bonds between father and child. Kokua is an imaginary, frightful, and mysterious character of the Mahabharata, one of the great epics of India. The Mahabharata of India has many regional versions in different languages. The Kokua anecdote is well described in Sarala Das's Odia Mahabharata. Kokua comes down, when the degree of doubt, disbelief, terror, murder, and anarchy overpowers the world. Because of the industrial growth and development, the tribes lose their land, rivers, brooks, forests, and simple lifestyles. Their mind gets polluted. The tribes are deprived of their natural rights. The issues of these locals are very beautifully reproduced. Shyamananda is the owner of the Ashram wherein Atanu was a disciple and later becomes the Police Inspector. At the same time, Ajay Marandi was also a disciple and later becomes a Naxal leader or Area Commander. Shyamananda's erstwhile belief was that he would guide rightly the students of this village to follow the path of non-violence. His dream is shattered in due course of time. Starting from found thermal camera recordings, the filmmaker and artist Stefan Kruse (b. 1987) made his experimental, essayistic documentary film A Lack of Clarity (2020). This book, titled after the film, transposes Kruse's dream-like documentary from screen to page. The resequencing of film stills and subtitles presents an alternate view into the social control mechanisms and evolving digital technologies that face an expanding field of what is visible (and controllable) in the contemporary city. A Lack of Clarity, designed and edited in close collaboration with Kruse, includes 200+ stills from the film, as well as essays by Volker Pantenburg and Rémi Lauvin.

Veronika Eberhart's artistic study focuses on the years 1938to 1948, which the composer spent together with his wife Lou(ise) in exile in Los Angeles. Shortlyafter their arrival, the two became the focus of FBI investigations. They were bugged and followed.In 1947, Eisler was finally called before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), and ayear later he and his wife were deported from the USA.
