Medical university, Chennai en 2010.il y avait une association significative entre le score du post-test sur l'engorgement mammaire avec leurs variables démographiques sélectionnées parmi les mères post-natales.le cadre conceptuel de l'étude était basé sur la théorie de Wiedenbacks (1964). Le plan de recherche utilisé pour cette étude était quasi expérimental, avec un groupe de pré et post test. L'étude a été menée à l'hôpital du Medical College dans le district de Tirunelveli. La population de cette étude était composée de mères post-natales. L'outil de collecte des données consistait en une échelle d'engorgement mammaire en six points, des variables démographiques pour évaluer l'efficacité de la compression de feuilles de chou froides sur l'engorgement mammaire. La validité du contenu de l'outil a été faite par des experts dans différents domaines. Les données collectées ont été présentées sous forme de tableaux, analysées et interprétées en utilisant des méthodes statistiques descriptives et inférentielles.
