Sårbarhed og aldring i et sygeplejeperspektivSygepleje handler i høj grad om interaktionen mellem sygeplejerske og den aldrende, sårbare patient. I denne interaktion er det vigtigt ikke at kategorisere ældre mennesker som en homogen gruppe, men som individer, der hver især af rundet af bio-psyko-sociale faktorer, der påvirker deres oplevelse af sårbarhed og aldring. I Danmark vokser den aldrende del af befolkningen, og sundhedsvæsenet står med den komplekse opgave at møde og behandle denne alsidige patientgruppe.Formålet med bogen er at bidrage til en endnu større viden og forståelse af sårbarhed og aldring i sygeplejen. Durch die demografische Entwicklung steigt die Anzahl älterer und kognitiv beeinträchtigter Menschen, die in einem Akutkrankenhaus behandelt werden. Dabei sind insbesondere Menschen mit einer Demenz mit ihren spezifischen Bedürfnissen auf der einen Seite und das ablauforiertierte System des Akutkrankenhauses auf der anderen Seite inkompatibel ¿ mit entsprechend negativen Auswirkungen für alle Beteiligten. Im Rahmen eines qualitativen Studiendesigns mit gruppenübergreifender Betrachtung wurde untersucht, ob Angehörige als Bindeglied zwischen der Person mit Demenz und den medizinisch-pflegerischen Fachpersonen des Krankenhauses agieren können. Das Ergebnis der Studie ist ein Modell der Beteiligung der Angehörigen von Menschen mit Demenz im Akutkrankenhaus: Angehörige leisten als Bindeglied einen besonderen Beitrag zur Verminderung oder gar Vermeidung von Problemen und Eskalationen auf beiden Seiten. Hierbei übernehmen sie bestimmte Rollen mit entsprechenden Funktionen und Aufgaben. Das Wissen um diese Rollen, die jeweiligen Zeitpunkte und auch um die Grenzen des Einbezugs von Angehörigen unterstützt Fachpersonen und Praktiker bei einem planvollen Umgang mit der Situation.

Throughout the history of Western philosophy, events have most often been assigned a secondary or derivative status with respect to substances or subjects, which are taken to underwrite them. An event, for instance, is understood to be a modification of the attributes of a substance. Linguistically, this framework is replicated in our grammar: a sentence begins with a subject and a predicate, while an event is represented as a change in predicate. However, since the 1930s, a number of philosophers have argued that no ontology can be sufficient without assigning events a primary, fundamental, and ontologically positive status in their own right.1 Remarkably, many have further argued that no ontology can be sufficient without assigning being an evental nature itself.2 In other words, they have advanced what I will call "evental ontologies." Many of the central texts arguing for evental ontologies are exceptionally difficult to interpret, and this is often a result of the way their arguments undermine the technical vocabulary of the tradition and its grammar built around subject predication. As a consequence, the reasons for taking such a position are frequently glossed over in relevant scholarship, which opts for either uncritical adoption of the terminology of evental ontologies or the dismissal of them on the grounds of their conceptual obscurity and seeming contrivance.

Professionelle Dienstleistungen der Altenhilfe werden in der genannten Bevolkerungsgruppe bislang nur unterdurchschnittlich genutzt. Gleichzeitig ist bekannt, dass migrantische Religionsgemeinschaften vielfaltige soziale Dienstleistungen erbringen.
