Bag om Developmental Dyslexia

Developmental dyslexia, also known as dyslexia, is a neurobiological disorder that causes severe problems in learning to read and interpret. It can be caused by heredity factors, other factors that affect the brain, and phonologic disability. There are four types of dyslexia, namely, phonological dyslexia, surface dyslexia, rapid naming deficit, and double deficit dyslexia. Phonological dyslexia, also called dysphonetic or auditory dyslexia, is a type of dyslexia in which the affected person experiences difficulty in processing the sounds of the individual letters and syllables. Surface dyslexia, also known as visual dyslexia, is another type of dyslexia that causes problem in recognizing complete words which results from visual processing difficulties in the brain. In rapid naming deficit, the affected person faces issues in processing and naming a letter, number, color, or object. A person with double deficit dyslexia faces both phonological and rapid naming deficit. This book provides significant information of this discipline to help develop a good understanding of developmental dyslexia. It consists of contributions made by international experts.
