Introduction to intuition and its role in decision-makingWe all have experienced the power of intuition at some point in our lives. That moment when you just know something is right or wrong, even if you don't have a logical explanation for it. Intuition is a powerful tool that can guide us through life's difficult decisions and lead us to success.It is difficult to define intuition because it is an abstract concept. It is often described as "inner knowledge" or "the sixth sense." It is the opposite of logic and analysis, which are processes used by the conscious and thinking part of our minds. Intuition comes from our subconscious mind instead, which is a vast repository of our experiences, memories, and emotions.Intuition can manifest itself in many ways. Some people experience sudden internal feelings, such as a strong sense of "yes" or "no." Others receive insights through dreams or visions. Some simply have a deep sense of "knowing" about a specific outcome.Intuition can play an important role in decision-making. Logic and analysis help us weigh our options and consider their potential consequences. But sometimes, even with all the information, we can still find it difficult to decide what to do. That's where intuition comes in. Our intuition can have access to all the information, including information stored in the subconscious mind. The ERiK-Methodological Report III is the third in as series of methodological report related to the 'Entwicklung von Rahmenbedingungen in der Kindertagesbetreuung - indikatorengestützte Qualitätsbeobachtung (ERiK)' study. The report focuses on the conception, sample selection, and survey designs of the ERiK-Surveys 2022. Together with the ERiK-Methodological Report I and II, it provides comprehensive background information on the ERiK-Surveys conducted in 2020 and 2022 up to the cutoff date of December 31, 2021. The subsequent steps taken in implementing the ERiK-Surveys 2022 will be described in a separate ERiK report, which is currently in progress and will be published at a later date.

This book explores the intersection of gender and disability in the context of tourism. In part, the book foregrounds feminist theorising of intersectionality by examining how gender can overlap with other social identities to contribute to more systemic oppression, domination, discrimination, and marginalisation of certain categories of people. Our point of departure is that disability does not operate in isolation as it is constituted and experienced within an already gendered social and tourism environment. With substantial research on the intersection of gender and tourism on the one hand, and the intersection of disability and tourism on the other hand, the interconnectedness of gender and disability and the implications this has on tourism policy and practice remains understudied. La búsqueda de enfoques eficaces para el aprendizaje de idiomas ha atraído hasta la fecha a un creciente número de investigadores e incluso se ha convertido en un tema de discusión social. En esta monografía se realiza un exhaustivo análisis del estado de la cuestión de la enseñanza de lenguas, desde las políticas institucionales a su recepción en dos contextos que se caracterizan por recrear entornos de aprendizaje naturales: el bilingüismo escolar y el bilingüismo familiar. Este libro es relevante y novedoso en el panorama actual ya que (i) proporciona una perspectiva integral multi-nivelar y multi-situada, (ii) estudia las políticas institucionales y su recepción en el contexto educativo y familiar, (iii) ofrece una visión crítica de la implementación y la investigación de la enseñanza bilingüe en estos dos escenarios, (iv) incluye directrices pedagógicas, áreas de mejora y futuras líneas de investigación, y (v) aúna teoría, investigación y práctica.

Giftedness often is defined in a transactional way: individuals give something in return for getting something from authorities who label them as gifted; the labeling authority then expects those individuals identified as 'gifted' to act in ways that justify the label. The authors place emphasis on transformational giftedness-giftedness that serves to make the world a better place. This Element stresses the importance of intelligence, not of the kind of narrow intelligence measured by IQ tests and their proxies, but rather the kind of broad intelligence used to adapt to a variety of real-world environments. The authors further discuss the nature of dual exceptionality, whereby individuals may be identified as having a disability yet at the same time act in gifted ways and thereby harbor the potential to contribute to the world in some distinguished fashion.

Four data collection methods (photovoice, go-along interviews, journaling and talanoa) are described that were employed by teachers in an Alternative Education (AE) setting in New Zealand to collect stories of, and more deeply understand, previous unsuccessful schooling experiences and aspirations of our students. AE is often a last chance option for students who have been excluded from mainstream schools. Choices of methods for collecting stories were largely determined by the students' ability to 'give voice' to enable them to feel safe in telling their own stories. The stories collection was part of action research (AR) Reconnaissance Phase (current situation prior to implementation of improvements) data collection designed to ultimately create improved teaching and learning experiences. The content of the stories themselves and outcomes of improvement in teaching and learning are outlined in subsequent papers. The focus of this paper is solely on employment of methods from our perspective as teachers and it is written in our voice, with a minor level of guidance from the research team leading the AR.
