Vishnu Gupta, popularly known as Chanakya, was a scholar in Economics and Political Science who taught as a professor in Takshashila University. He was the chief advisor to the King Chandragupta Maurya and played a crucial role in the establishment of the Mauryan empire. The book, written by him, comprises of Neetis and Sutras.
