This study looked at the importance of suitable facilities for goats and sheep, considering various aspects that influence the productivity and well-being of these animals. Facilities play a fundamental role in the efficient management of ruminant farming, directly impacting on health, management and the quality of the products obtained. It has become clear throughout this research that the choice and planning of facilities must take into account factors such as the climate of the region, the specific needs of the species, the type of production (milk, meat, reproduction, etc.) and the availability of financial resources. In addition, it is essential to consider aspects related to hygiene, thermal comfort, ease of handling and the safety of animals and farm workers.
