Bag om Knowledge Management and Innovation
As innovating involves connecting, interacting, sharing and co-creating or co-producing, one of the strategies to increase success in this process is to consider innovation habitats and another is to work on the management of the knowledge involved, which are the central themes of this book. The book is structured in chapters, with Chapter 1 presenting a study on the risk of knowledge loss in mergers and acquisitions from the perspective of managers in a food industry. Chapter 2 presents an analysis of how the knowledge management process, in the context of a regional innovation system, which has the sixfold helix as a background, can effectively collaborate with the process of generating innovation and, consequently, competitiveness. Chapter 3 discusses the relevant factors that led the University City Science Centre, located in the United States, to become a world reference in innovation. Chapter 4 presents and analyses the Matam High-Tech & Business Park, in Israel, according to the fundamental characteristics for the development of a technology park. Finally, in Chapter 5, Thailand Science Park is also studied based on its characteristics.
