If "gospel" is a religious word meaning "good news," why does it seem so often that churches are full of bad news? The existence of God is good news because it means that this life, with all its pains and disappointments, is not all there is. Without God, our life here is the whole story. The good news of the Bible includes these five promises: 1. There is nothing in this world we need to worry about. 2. There is nothing in this world we need to be afraid of. 3. You don't even need to be concerned about dying. 4. You are being invited into a family whose logo is that they love each other. 5. This world is not your permanent home.
